Upon landing at Manas International Airport, our local guide will extend a warm welcome. We’ll swiftly transfer to Bishkek city via a comfortable bus. Situated at an altitude of about 800 meters (2,600 ft), Bishkek is a city of wide boulevards and marble-faced public buildings combined with numerous Soviet-style apartment blocks surrounding interior courtyards. We’ll spend the night in Bishkek, ready to kickstart our Kyrgyzstan adventure.
Embark on a breathtaking journey from Bishkek to Supara hotel in Chunkurchak, ascending to 8000 feet and reaching the stunning hilltop location where charming Yurts await, promising an unforgettable stay amidst Kyrgyzstan’s natural splendor. Dinner and overnight in the Yurts
Leave Supara hotel in Chunkurchak, embarking on a scenic drive to Naryn town through changing landscapes. In Kochkor village, delve into Kyrgyz craftsmanship with a felt-producing demonstration and Ala Kiyiz making. Explore the handicraft museum and shop. Continue your journey towards Naryn, with a possible detour to the stunning Song Kul Lake via the Kalmak Ashuu Pass or 33 Parrots Pass, weather permitting. Rest for the night at Khan Tengry Hotel.
Depart Naryn Town for the enchanting Kel Suu Lake through the Ak Muz route, savoring the journey’s beauty. If weather permits, extend your adventure via Chatyr Kul Lake—this decision rests on weather forecasts. In case Kel Suu is inaccessible, embrace the allure of Tash Rabat and Chatyr Kul Lake, within the intriguing border zone. Enjoy sauna in the camp. Overnight in Kel Su region.
Traverse the awe-inspiring Jeti Oguz Valley as you journey from Naryn Town to Karakol. Be mesmerized by the valley’s striking red rock formations, known as the “Seven Bulls,” and soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you on this scenic drive. Drive along Issyk Kul Lake’s northern shore, turning toward Kungei Ala Too (Sunny Mountains) after 15 km. Enter Semenovskoe Gorge, named after the Russian explorer Semenov-Tienshanskii. Cross a mountain pass to reach Grigorievskoe Gorge. After lunch, explore the “Stone Garden” or Cholpon Ata Petroglyphs site, a vast open-air collection of prehistoric rock carvings covering about 42 hectares. End the day with a serene sunset cruise on Issyk-Kul Lake, painting the sky with vibrant colors. Dine and stay overnight at Karven on the lake’s shore.
Travel from Cholpon Ata to Bishkek with enriching stops along the way. Explore the historic Burana Tower, an ancient Silk Road-era minaret offering panoramic views from its 11th-century perch.
